Feedback and Ideas:
CAST Second Senior Survey (we like alliteration)

Please read each question thoroughly and carefully, then answer honestly.  As with the last survey, we appreciate your answers and take each one into consideration when planning the remainder of the season.

Here's how this works: you fill out the answer fields, and then click the "Submit Answers" button at the bottom of the page.  Your answers are then translated into an email on which you simply click "Send."  No additional typing needed.  I apologize for the lack of sophistication, but the CGI wasn't cooperating and I'm tired.  And sick.  Don't forget to read the Coaches' Corner this week to avoid ending up like me.

* Please make every effort to have this filled out and submitted by Sunday, December 16. *

Question One Revisited: What is the ultimate thing you want out of swimming? (Examples: “I want to earn a college scholarship;” "I want to place at NCAAs;" "I want to swim at the Olympics;" "I want to make high school states before my senior year.")

We would like to do dryland with you as a group because we feel the benefits are outstanding.  This would entail approximately 45 minutes after practice, 2 or 3 days per week.  BUT BUT BUT:  we're only willing to do this if the entire group commits; we're not going to make it optional to come when you feel like it and we're not going to run a program for two people.  How do you feel about dryland?  Will you commit to it?  Why or why not?

Have you had any experience with your strokes being videotaped underwater?  If so, did you find the feedback helpful?

We were thinking it may be fun to having a gaming focus on Saturdays.  What kinds of athletically-valid games have you played before that you like?  Are there any games that you don't like at all?

Another avenue we're considering pursuing is mental training program beginning in early to mid-January.  Have you had any experience with mental training before?  Was it beneficial to you?  What kinds of mental exercises were you a part of?

Everyone swims better when they feel a part of the team.  How often do you think we need to get together outside of the pool (i.e. once a month, twice a month, every day) to facilitate that?  What are your ideas for group activities?

While we're on the subject, do you have any problems with current teammates that we should be aware of?

Hey, how are we doing so far?  Is there anything you feel you need as a swimmer that you're not getting?
